Study Permit
Study permit is a document that IRCC
issued for foreign students to study in Canada at Designated Learning Institutions for further education. International students are required to obtain a study permit to study in Canada as a full-time student.
Work While You Study
-Letter of explanation that shows why student want to study in Canada and being an international student, you understand your liabilities.
-Student has to undergo for the medical examination to prove that student’s health is stable and doesn’t have any contagious disease.
-Student is required to provide clear criminal record check.
You may require further documents:
-Passport size photos (2) with white background (with full name and date of birth written on the back of each photo) of applicant and every other accompanying family member included in the application.
-Birth Certificate of main applicant and any other accompanying family members included in the application.
-Passport Bio page of main applicant and any other accompanying family members included in the application.
-Marriage certificate (if applicable)
Financial Support:
International students can bring their family members (spouse and kids) with them to Canada. However, student is required to include his/her family members in the study permit application. Moreover, applicant’s Spouse/Common-Law Partner can apply for an open work permit as well as study permit. As far as minor children are concern as per the current policies, they may be able to study in Canada at elementary or secondary schools.
Applicant’s Family:
Financial support is one of the mandatory requirements for full time international students. International student must prove that they have enough funds to support themselves and family while study in Canada. Following are the details of required funds.
